Gramblr is a desktop app that allows you to upload pictures or videos on Instagram. It features a similar upload wizard - so that you don't need a smartphone. On its interface, Gramblr itself recommends a website that squares your image, although you can also do it with any photo-editing tool. Once your picture is ready in JPG format, simply press the upload button.
All you have to do is sign in using the username and password you use to access your profile and then select the photo you want to upload. You can’t just upload anything: it has to be a square picture with a minimum of 640 x 640 pixels, thus abiding by Instagram's regular upload parameters.
After that, all you have to is add the caption, and once it's uploaded you'll have the same options as on the mobile version: share the picture on Facebook or Twitter. There are no options for effects so you'll have to settle for a filter-free result, yet it's still, for now, a good option to upload pictures from your PC, as the Instagram web version doesn't allow this feature.

Although Instagram is geared strongly toward using mobile devices, there might be times you want to post to Instagram from a desktop or laptop instead.
Gramblr works with Mac and Windows and is free:
Two things to note. Firstly, Instagram takes a dim view of automatic posting and has been known to cancel users’ accounts if they’re found doing it. So if you choose to use Gramblr, it’s worth doing so with some caution.
Secondly, to interact with Instagram and post on your account, some of these apps and services like Gramblr require your login details. Some users have reported that after they’ve installed Gramblr their Instagram account seemed to be auto-liking other posts without your control.
Using Gramblr to Post to Instagram:
There are two parts to it, an app that you install on your computer and a web service. They work together in getting your photos from your desktop to posting on Instagram. The desktop app part of it is a utility app that really just runs in the background. Once you’ve installed it, you open it to launch the main Gramblr screen and then it just quietly takes care of things behind the scenes. All your main interactions are with the web service.

- If the text boxes are empty on the confirmation window, something went wrong... try again and it should work!
